Desde el principio fué mala experiencia porque lo primero que quieren hacer es sacarte dinero y venderte paquetes y cosas caras. Tuve 2 problemas relacionados con agua lo cual dan a entender que tienen mal mantenimiento o desuso de sus limpieza la pedimos diario desde el día 1 y no tuvimos, la chica de recepción no me entendió yo creo porque 2 días después me preguntó que cada cuanto íbamos a querer limpieza. De todas formas no sucedío la chica venía cuando quería, y hasta a veces solo dejaba toallas y papel de baño. Para finalizar el último día cucarachas. Creo que es un lugar muy caro y no brindan el servicio adecuado . No lo recomendaría jamás.

Magical!! Secure behind a gauded gate, the quaint brick paved streets and landscaped gardens led us to the Luna Axuls ocean swept arch to into the courtyard, to see turquoise water. Our senses were filled.
The condo was very comfortable. I loved the firmness of the beds and couches no sinking to hurt my back. Because of the well designed rooms no a/c was needed, the gentle rythum of the waves, rocks you to sleep. The bay is most swimable!!! Even for kids. Mostly waist high 200+ ft out. Great food walking distance-best snorkeling at Yal ku & Akumal bay. Both walking distance.But please be careful tourists have all but killed the coral reefs w sunscreen n Finn's-& carelessness!! See these natural wonders before they are no longer here, dispite government intervention to save them and bring them back!!
Better than Hawaii better than Virgin islands better and closer than Tahiti ! My fav spot!! My only complaint Tell Beinavirda Restaraunt to invest in better napkins!!

everything was great, except the management kept promising a parking space for our rented golf cart, and a place to charge it which never happened. The hairdryer did not work, and there were no small bowls in the unit. If you tip the housekeeping staff every day, then you get a lot better service versus then tipping at the end.

We (2 couples) loved being right on the beach in this comfy condo - a great base for snorkeling, diving, flyfishing, visiting Maya sites & the Sian Ka'an Reserve, relaxing, & eating lots of seafood.

We enjoyed our accommodations very much. My wife and I stayed here in January 2022 with our two adult children. Having 2 beds in the second bedroom worked out perfectly. Luna Azul is very close to two nice restaurants (La Lunita and Buena Vida) and a small grocery store. It’s also only a 10 min walk to Yal Ku lagoon where we enjoyed calm snorkeling with a lot of beautiful fish. We also walked to the small town center of Akumal and at Pescador restaurant about a mile away from the condo. It was very windy during our stay which made snorkeling off our beach very difficult unfortunately.

Very friendly and communication stuff. The view is incredible. Great housekeeping. Just a few things I wanted to point out. Not natural, polystyrene bed linen, from which it is unpleasant to sleep and the skin itches. And very poor quality frying pans and pots, all scratched. Only hot water comes out of the shower when you turn on the cold faucet.

This was our 3rd time at Luna Azul. The location, the beach, the staff were all tremendously helpful. When we needed shuttles to Tulum, Puerto Adventurous, COVID tests, any extra towels etc... they were right there. The cleaning staff was super flexible, and the beaches were kept clean each day. We had NO sargassum until the last day, so everything was pretty. The weather was perfect. We plan on coming here every year for many more. We ate breakfast at Turtle Bay every day, and expereinced dinners at LBV, Turtle Bay, Tavernia, Pescadora, and La Lunita. Even spent a day snorkling at Ya-Kul. can't wait until next year!

We are repeat visitors in Akumal staying at Luna Azul. Over the past 20 plus years, I think we have stayed in every unit. We will continue to come back. Luna Azul is lovely beach away from the hustle of any resort nearby. The town is charming as are the accommodations at Luna Azul - clean and comfortable as well.

Loved the condo . It was cute and clean and very reasonable priced . The location was convenient to everything and the ocean views were spectacular ! Check out my and out was very easy peazie and I will absolutely be returning.

Arrived late after office hours and check in process was still easy. A recent windstorm had knocked out power to our condo building and the one next door. The manager was able to provide a different unit in a different building until the power was restored. I was fearing a long wait for the utility to restore power but it was restored just after breakfast the next morning. Snorkeling in Halfmoon Bay is excellent, especially the north half of the bay.

We love the location, the design of the condo and the weather.Next year will be our fourth year staying at Lighthouse Pointe.

Ruth Bartelmay went out of her way to find the accomodation that met with our expectations. We had a wonderful time.

There were a few isues with condo #4. The master bedroom was missing one set of blinds so the sun woke us up at 5.30am. The water container in the kitchen was leaking. The stove had two burners that were not working. The airconditionig unit makes a lot of noise in the 2nd bedroom. There were no wine glasses.
The location of the condo was great but the unit #4 has not been well maintained.When it was a sunny day it was difficult to get a beach bed while the condos on either side there were many empty beds. I had to get out by 8.30 am to secure two beds for the Family.

We still had a wonderful vacation but next time We would probably stay in the condo next door with the small pool.

itwould be nice if they would provide basic thangs like salt pepper.coffee,shot glasses one toilet needs to be replaced

Jorge the property manager was so extremely helpful. The condo was located directly on the beach and very relaxing. We looked at other places while we were down in Akumal (over the course of a week) and realize that for the daily price we probably found the best value for the $ w/ this condo. Guests need to realize that there is a rustic charm to renting a low key condo. Turtles laid eggs right in front of our bldg. Very satisfied and sad to leave.

Great place to stay. Always clean and with a great view. felt very secluded, like a home away from home. Loved it.

There are several restaurants right on HalfMoon Bay and several others within walking distance. Of course if you have a rental car, you can drive to a different beach every day to snorkel and to a different town on the Maya Riviera for dinner each night. It was great to sit on the balcony and read and look out to observe turtles swimming and coming up for air. Shopping in Playa del Carmen or in Tulum is convenient for stocking up on groceries.

We would love to visit again and include more friends. The akumal area is very homey and not overly resort - like. We prefer this type of travel. With all the construction of new roads and building from Cancun to Thalum we hope this area doesn't loose it's charm. Otherwise it becomes the same old resort idea, Akumla is almost like a different world, bueatiful. Once again the people
are friendly and very helpful. We will return, soon. We have been fighting the flood in Fargo, ND., so the great memories of our Mexico trip bring ease of mind at this point in our fight to stay above the water and dry.

We loved how this condominium was decorated and the open floor plan and spaciousness.On previous visits we have stayed on the third floor, but this unit was easier to pop up and back to the beach because of its second floor location.

This was a wonderful and much needed vacation. As I have already recommended, a security latch needs to be on the door for privacy, as we were walked in on by a staff member. AGAIN, EXCEPTIONAL!

Only thing I would "want" for would be a safe in #4 where we stayed. Otherwise, just great!

We loved the condo; very comfortable and open. Also liked being able to walk to any number of restaurants; we did not rent a car, and never needed one. The farmers market was great. The snorkeling right from the beach was superb.Our only issue with the condo was that the wifi was very unpredictable

What a wonderful experience, just what we needed. The rooms were open and very comfortable. A full kitchen helped to keep costs down and the grocery store was in Akumal for fruit and veggies. The corner grocer was steps from the condo for chips and cervesa. We walked everywhere, 20 minutes into Akumal for shops or you could catch a little cab. Having coffee on our patio in the morning was a highlight for us.

This was a perfect place for my boyfriend & I. Very spacious with 2 bedrooms with ensuites, large kitchen, & large living room. Nice patio table & lounge chairs. Had all the amenities we needed. Located in Half Moon Bay, the area was very quiet & the waters very calm. The sand was literally right outside the slider & the water just steps away. Was able to snorkel right in front of the condo. Had a great restaurant/bar (La Buena Vida), a nice little cafe (The Jungle), & a convenient store all within walking distance. The staff was very friendly & helpful, & the daily maid service was a plus! Would highly recommend & would absolutely stay again if we venture back that way!

The Luna Azul Unit 1 property size and configuration was quite right for our group of 4 adults and one child. It is located on the ground floor so not too many steps and access from the road and to the beach was ok. Keep it in mind if some in your party has walking issues....
There is no dish washer but the cleaning crew washed dishes, made the beds and cleaned the apartment every morning so our stay was very pleasant and hassle free anyway. Internet was fine and the smart tv screens large and bright, although we did not spend much time watching.
Akumal is on the main road between Tulum and Cozumel, so we were able to visit both places and, from Cozumel, we rode to the high seas, to see and swim with whale sharks. Quite an experience, if you are willing to ride at high speed on a boat for about six or seven hours for a very brief encounter (not guaranteed) with whale sharks.
As warned on Luna Azul Vrbo page, there was a considerable accumulation of sargasso weeds on the shore and in the water which made walking through it and swimming in front of the property a bit unpleasant. However, just walking on the beach one or two hundred yard to the left, it was possible to get into the water, swim and snorkel with no issue.
Walking on the beach we noticed signs indicating the location of sea turtles eggs nesting and, just the evening before leaving, we actually saw quite a number of little baby turtles emerging from the sand and heading for the sea. Some were hampered by the deep amount of sargasso weeds on the shore, so a few were helped by us making a path for them to reach the sea. That was a special treat for us all and an exciting conservation lesson for our six year old grandson.
Altogether, it was a simple, nice and relaxing stay. We recommend it.

Akumal and Half Moon Bay are perfect for a quiet get away. Far from the craziness of Cancun or PDC or Tulum. Great restaurants, especially in the pueblo. We've stayed in many of the condos. All have been great.

This unit was perfect for us! Great table on the patio for morning coffee. Even with the Sargasso the location was still great. There are plenty of other things to do and there are vendors at the entry of the bay that will give you a good deal on snorkeling, atvs and boat trips. The small store in walking distance had good prices. I would definitely stay away from the General Store near the OXXO. Great food and groceries just across the bridge in Akumal Central. A short drive from Playa del Carmen and Tulum for awesome day trips! The housekeepers came in daily to clean and always did a great job! Bonus: A turtle laid a nest right in front of our unit!

We love Akumal, and this is our 3rd time staying at Luna Azul. The condo is bright, clean, and very spacious. Was perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the freedom to come in and out to play in the sand right outside the door. The internet is really fast and we had no issues with it at all. Our next Akumal trip will definitely be booked to stay at Luna Azul again.

We arrived on a Saturday to our very clean condo. The first floor condo was literally 100’ from the ocean. We’ve stayed in another condo close by last year. Check in was quick. Housekeeping comes in every morning to clean the unit, make beds, do dishes, switch out towels etc. The area is very safe. There is a small grocery store about 50 yards away from this condo. Basic items including beer, wine, and alcohol can be purchased there. It is very quiet in this area. No late night partying going on. There are many things to do from here. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Beautiful condo, steps from the sea, located in a quiet and safe community. Many restaurants to choose from at walking distance. Two things you need to be aware of, no washer and dryer but there is a laundry service in the village, and spotty internet. We were surprised that maid was cleaning every other day.

My wife and I worked from home, and this was the perfect getaway. Great location, nice restaurants and stores close by, and internet was very good. Strongly recommend!
